Veresegyház is rolling out a packed 2026 season, with Veres 1 Színház and the Mézesvölgyi Szabadtéri Színpad serving up crowd-pleasers all summer. The flagship venue at 2112 Veresegyház, Köves utca 14, will welcome culture lovers with comedies, musicals, concerts, and premieres from June through August. Start the calendar with Bill Manhoff’s A bagoly és a cicababa (The Owl and the Pussycat) at the theater’s home base, then head under the stars for a festival-style run that doesn’t let up.
June Kickoff
June 24 lights up with Francia rúdugrás (French Pole Vault) — a breezy comedy night at the open-air stage in Veresegyház.
July: Hits, Classics, Premieres
– July 3: Pletykafészek (Rumors) brings farce-level chaos.
– July 4: István, a király (Stephen, the King) in concert roars in.
– July 7: A padlás (The Attic), then A Pál utcai fiúk (The Paul Street Boys) — back-to-back musical magic, with the latter returning July 8 for the Mézesvölgyi Nyár festival.
– July 12: A dzsungel könyve (The Jungle Book).
– July 15: Menopauza keeps it bold and candid.
– July 21–22: Csengetett, Mylord? (You Rang, M’Lord?) world premiere, two nights running.
