Veszprém rolls out a packed 2026 program, from guided castle walks to sacred music, films, and family-friendly events across multiple venues in the 8200 district. July 7–12 kicks off with guided fortress walks themed Lakes and Rivers, returning July 14–19, July 21–26, and July 28–Aug 2, then Aug 4–9, Aug 11–16, and Aug 18–23. The World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly falls on July 26, with a community focus in the historic quarter.

Films in the Archbishop’s Palace

On July 17, 24, and 31, the Archbishop’s Palace screens the documentary 1000 év öröksége – A veszprémi várnegyed megújítása (1000 Years of Heritage – The Renewal of the Veszprém Castle District), tracing the precinct’s revival and centuries of ecclesiastical memory.

Concerts and Open-Church Nights

July 31 at 20:00 brings Új Jazz Csillagok (New Jazz Stars), spotlighting emerging jazz talent as part of the Palace Concerts series. Fall pivots to organ and sacred music: Sept 12, Night of Open Churches with organist Tamás Kosóczki and trumpeter Péter Solymosi; Sept 26, St. Michael’s Day with organist László Deák and flutist Márk Fülep.
