Veszprém rolls into winter and spring with guided castle walks, free exhibitions, a full premarital course series, and a slate of organ and classical concerts. The Baroque jewel of the Castle District, the Bíró–Giczey House (Bíró–Giczey-ház), anchors year-end tours with its garden, gift shop, and exhibitions, while spring brings musical heavyweights to town. Guided Castle Walks
On December 29 and 30, guided Castle Walks start at 11:30, 14:00, and 16:00. On December 31, departures are at 11:30 and 14:00. Two themed routes run from the Bíró–Giczey House (Bíró–Giczey-ház):
– The Walk of Light and Devotion: Archbishop’s Palace + Gizella Chapel (Gizella-kápolna) at 11:30 and 16:00 (December 31 at 11:30).
– A Thousand Years’ Journey: Cathedral + crypt + St. George’s Chapel (Szent György-kápolna) at 14:00 daily.
Tickets and information: Gift Shop. Group size capped at 25. Exhibitions remain free of charge.
Premarital Course in Veszprém
A multi-week engaged couples’ course runs on Fridays at the Padányi School (Padányi Katolikus Iskola), 6 Szeghy János Street (Szeghy János utca 6.), Veszprém, designed to prepare partners for marriage and family life. Dates: February 6, 13, 20, 27; March 6, 13, 2026. Topics include:
