Veszprém’s renewed castle district is rolling out packed weekends this November, with guided Castle Walks at 11:30, 14:00, and 16:00 on November 15–16, 22–23, and 29. On November 30, tours run at 14:00 and 16:00. Two themed routes headline the program: The Walk of Light and Reverence pairs the Archbishop’s Palace with the St. Gizella Chapel (Gizella-kápolna), while A Thousand Years’ Path links the Cathedral, the crypt, and St. George’s Chapel (Szent György-kápolna). The first runs Saturdays–Sundays at 11:30 and 16:00; the second at 14:00 on weekends. All in Veszprém, of course.

From November 6–29, “Images of Veszprém at the Turn of the 19th–20th Centuries” quietly charms in the Eötvös Károly Library’s Small Gallery. November 14 brings Battles of Myths in Veszprém, live storytelling for adults. The same day: Who Am I – All About Cartoons. On November 15, Szaffi (Szaffi) screens for the 11th National Cartoon Festival, plus Peru – As We Saw It, a photo-lecture on the country’s seen and unseen sides. Also on November 15: a bomb shelter walkthrough and historical roaming in Monasteries and Gardens, with castle-viewing strolls to match.
Workshops, Clubs, Games
Therapy dogs visit the Eötvös Károly Library on November 13, and again for the very little ones on November 26 in the Children’s Library. Youth voices get a boost on November 17 with the nationwide workshop series Your Voice Matters!. The American Corner at the library hosts Board Game Afternoon on November 18, Conversation Club on November 20, and a Spelling Bee Contest on November 25 (plus a general Spelling Bee the same day). There’s also a French Club on November 18, Kids’ Corner on November 22, and Thanksgiving on November 27.
