Veszprém’s revitalized Castle District is packing weekends with guided tours and cultural events all November—plus big-name concerts and festivals rolling into 2026. The flagship is the Várséta (Castle Walk), a guided tour running multiple times most Saturdays and Sundays, with two themed routes that explore sacred spaces and a millennium of history.
Weekend guided walks
November 8: one Várséta at 4:00 p.m., departing from the Biró–Giczey House. The themed route, The Walk of Light and Devotion, explores the Archbishop’s Palace and the Gizella Chapel, Sundays at 4:00 p.m. in Veszprém.
November 9: tours at 11:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., same theme and starting point.
November 15–16, 22–23, 29: tours at 11:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. Two themes rotate: The Walk of Light and Devotion (Archbishop’s Palace + Gizella Chapel) at 11:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays; and A Thousand Years’ Path at 2:00 p.m., covering the Cathedral, the crypt, and St. George’s Chapel.
November 30 wraps up with tours at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., with the same themes and time slots as above. All in Veszprém.
