Visegrád turns back the clock in 2026 with the Knights’ Games and Feast, a high-energy family favorite running every Saturday at noon through fall. Book early and claim a front-row spot in the living Middle Ages along the Danube at 1 Duna-parti Road (Duna-parti út 1), where the Renaissance Restaurant invites you to step into 14th-century pageantry and steel.
Guaranteed start every Saturday at 12:00 at Salamon Tower (Salamon-torony). Dates already listed include 2026.03.02, 2026.03.04, and 2026.03.07, all in Visegrád. Organizers reserve the right to change times and program.
Members of the Order of St. George ride out in full kit to show how warriors once fought for the favor of the king and queen in medieval Visegrád. At the start, the knights pick a king and queen from the crowd, dress them in royal cloaks, and crown them. At the king’s call, the knights march in and prove their aim and dueling skills with authentic weapons for the royal couple and their guests. Expect bold, true-to-period clashes, a dash of humor, and a royal hunting falcon taking flight. At the finale, guests can try medieval weapons with knightly guidance.
12:00 Historical intro inside Salamon Tower, then rooftop visit. 12:30 Tournament with drinks (white wine, apple juice) by the tower. 13:30 Royal Feast at the Renaissance Restaurant: creamy tarragon venison ragout soup with onion potato dumplings; roast turkey thigh, honey-glazed pork ribs, panko-crusted chicken fillet, potato petals, chive mayo, honey-smoked sauce, apple-braised cabbage; ice cream coupe. Drinks not included. Dining is possible before or after the show.
With feast: Adult USD 38.30, Child (3–14) USD 19.15. Programs can run for groups of 30 or more at any time. Show available in Hungarian, German, English, and Italian; other languages with an interpreter. Register and pay only at the Renaissance Restaurant; apply by email.
