How the Tournament Unfolds
Members of the Order of Saint George (Szent György Lovagrend) stage a vivid tournament showing how knights once vied for the favor of the king and queen in 14th-century Visegrád. At the start, the knights pick a king and queen from the audience, robe and crown them, then file in at the king’s command to prove their aim and combat skills before the royal couple and guests. Duels are realistic, exciting, and sometimes cheekily humorous; a royal hunting falcon flight adds flourish. At the end, guests can handle and try medieval weapons with the knights’ help. Dining at the Renaissance Restaurant is available before or after the show.
