The legendary Debrecen Wine and Jazz Days (Debreceni Bor- és Jazznapok) is back for 2025, promising three vibrant days of music, flavors, and open-air relaxation. Since 1972 (except for 2020), this festival has been a highlight of Hungary’s cultural calendar—and it remains the country’s longest-running jazz festival. It’s happening July 31 to August 2 beside the scenic Duck Lake (Békás-tó) in the heart of Debrecen’s leafy Great Forest Park (Nagyerdő).
Over 30 wineries from across Hungary will be pouring their finest, and visitors can book special wine tasting experience packages to dive deeper into the world of local wines. This year brings even more choices, with a wider selection than ever before, so you can explore rare vintages and intriguing blends late into the night. There will be masterclasses led by renowned winemakers for anyone keen to learn and taste on a deeper level.
Something for Every Sense
Jazz enthusiasts are spoiled with an impressive line-up, featuring big names and fresh faces from Hungary’s jazz, soul, and funk scenes. Three stages—Club (Klub), Synergy, and the Master Good Main Stage—will pulse with live shows every evening, while chill zones under shady trees let guests kick back and unwind.
Whether you’re grooving with the Sosinas, vibing with the Andi Malek Soulistic Band (Malek Andi Soulistic), sampling the Gábor Cseke Trio (Cseke Gábor Trio), or dancing the night away to jazz DJs until dawn, every moment fuses art, nature, and celebration. Highlights also include dance shows, soul and Latin fusion bands, and Saturday’s huge finale stretching until 2:30 am.
