From May 21 to May 31, 2026, Szeged transforms into Hungary’s wine capital as the 30th Szeged Wine Festival (Szegedi Borfesztivál) takes over the city center. The festivities spread across Széchenyi Square, Cathedral Square (Dóm Square), Dugonics Square, Klauzál Square, Downtown Bridge (Belvárosi Bridge), and Oskola Street, where renowned Hungarian winemakers tempt visitors with their finest selections.
Tastes Beyond Wine
There’s more to enjoy than just world-class wines—expect a variety of pálinka (fruit brandy), artisanal cheeses, and unique culinary specialties. Street food, traditional Hungarian dishes, and gourmet bites round out the offerings, promising something tasty for every palate.
Live Music Takes Center Stage
Two stages at Széchenyi Square bring the city to life with jazz, blues, folk acts, and crowd-pleasing celebrity performers. The event’s vibrant atmosphere is perfect for both seasoned wine lovers and festival newcomers looking to soak up great vibes and delicious flavors.
