As always, this lakeside town unveils a vibrant program of music, culture, and family fun on September 20–21, filling Ferenc Mádl Square (Mádl Ferenc tér) with excitement. Locals and visitors can sample the region’s finest wines, as area winemakers present their most tempting creations. The most anticipated highlight is the lively harvest parade winding through the streets of Tihany (Tihany), culminating on Echo Hill (Visszhang-domb) with the blessing of grapes and bread.
Classic Traditions, Fresh Surprises
The Harvest Days (Szüreti Napok) is Tihany’s (Tihany) oldest event, blending much-loved traditions with exciting new features. The weekend offers something for everyone, including musical performances, puppet shows, hands-on games for children, and the ever-popular Sláger-szüret video disco.
Weekend Program Highlights
Fanyűvő Playpark is open all Saturday, and live music fills Pentecost Grove (Pünkösdi liget), while Sunday begins with a children’s concert and the spectacular harvest march, featuring hussars, bandits, riding clubs, folk musicians, and flag throwers. The festivities conclude with the blessings of grapes and bread, followed by a set of classic hits from the Rita Polyák (Polyák Rita) Band.
