Wine, Heritage, and Family Traditions

The Gondűző Wine Knight Order (Gondűző Borrend), serving since 1994, aims to promote Kiskőrös (Kiskőrös), safeguard the reputation of its local wines, and inspire cultured wine appreciation. Their flagship is the local Kadarka. The region’s wine house welcomes visitors to witness winemaking in action, explore the cellars, and sample award-winning wines at guided tastings or gatherings. The cellar, featuring rustic furniture and century-old tools, hosts up to 80 guests for tastings, events, and private functions.

Family wineries tend 160 acres of vineyards, producing white, red, and late-harvest wines. The new wine house downtown offers wines at cellar-door prices, plus sparkling wines, fruit brandy (pálinka), and unique wine-themed gifts. Up to 50 people can attend scheduled tastings or private events, with corporate programs also available.

Classic Flavors Served with Kindness

Thermal Restaurant (Termál Étterem), nestled between the medicinal hotel and the municipal beach baths, welcomes guests to a family-friendly setting that offers homemade Hungarian cuisine and a play corner for kids. With seating for 40 inside and 80 more on the terrace, it’s the perfect spot to fuel up for the festivities.
