Zalakaros rolls out a packed winter calendar from December 20, 2025, to January 31, 2026, blending thermal bliss, live music, family fun, and a pop-up ice rink. Multiple venues across the spa town host exhibitions, concerts, theater, film screenings, festivals, sports, and outdoor adventures. Beyond the pools and parties, the surroundings invite hikes and day trips within and beyond the resort’s borders.
Skate Under the Lights
The Karos Promenade (Karos Korzó) ice rink stages Everybody on Ice! (Jégre mindenki!) in six waves: December 22–28, December 29–January 4, January 5–11, January 12–18, January 19–25, and January 26–31. Expect festive lighting and a central location perfect for pre- or post-swim laps.
Snowy Bath Parties
Snowy Bath Party (Havas Fürdőparty) brings the dream combo: snowfall, steaming outdoor thermal pools, and live music. Dates: December 23, December 27, and December 29 in Zalakaros. The setup is all about atmosphere—fairy-tale snow, hot mineral water, cozy lights, and holiday décor. Each night at 17:00, the Decsi Brothers (Decsi Fivérek) take the stage, soundtracking your winter soak in style.
Festive Family Splash
Winter Splash (Téli Csobbanás), the animated water “Fairy-Tale World” (Mesevilág), lands first at the Zalakaros Spa (Zalakarosi Fürdő) from December 20–23 with daily water aerobics at 10:30–10:50 and 15:30–15:50, plus creative workshops from noon–14:30: Polar Bear Mosaic (Dec 20), Reindeer Print Set (Dec 21), Stick Figures (Dec 22), and Candle Holder (Dec 23).
It returns from December 25–31 with a bigger schedule: water aerobics and crafts on Christmas Day (Clothespin Tree Candle), Boxing Day (Door Wreath), and a weekend of games—Ball Adventure and Treasure Hunt, family aquafitness, balloon twisting, glitter tattoos, face painting, mini disco, and challenges like water limbo, tug-of-war, water-bomb battles, and a Lucky New Year’s Coin hunt. December 31 closes with water aerobics and making New Year’s party hats.
Christmas and New Year Vibes
Zalakaros lights up with Christmas Programs (Karácsonyi ünnepi programok) from December 20–26. Then comes Star Magic on the Karos Promenade (Csillagvarázs a Karos korzón) from December 27–31: Dec 27 features Laci Horváth at 17:30 and the Decsi Brothers at 18:30; Dec 28: DJ Bony at 18:00; Dec 29: Rezsek–Hervai Duo at 18:00; Dec 30: Pre-New Year with DJ Czege at 18:00; Dec 31: V.I.P. Dinner & Party in the Main Hall from 18:00 and a New Year’s Eve Party with DJ Rebell from 20:00.
Two Parties, One Night
New Year’s Eve in Zalakaros (Szilveszter Zalakaroson) brings “One night – two parties!” on December 31. At the outdoor Event Square, DJ Rebell spins from 20:00–02:00. Indoors at the Event Hall, an All-Inclusive New Year’s Party anchors the Karos Promenade (Karos Korzó) program. Ring in 2026 “a little differently,” just as the locals like it.
January Headliners
The new year kicks off on January 2 with TNT, featuring Ákos Dobrády and “Inti” Krisztián Zuber. On January 24, Balkan Fanatik hits the stage, keeping the winter groove going between ice sessions at the Karos Promenade rink throughout the month.
