May Highlights
May 21 kicks off with the Saint Urban’s Day Wine Selection in Hegykő (Kossuth Lajos Street 74), plus canoe tours in the Lake Fertő reeds at Balf and scenic E-boat trips on the lake from Fertőrákos. The Hany Safari begins May 22 and returns May 29. More reed canoeing and E-boats follow on May 28, then a cultural cycling ride on May 30, “Along the Chapels,” tracing heritage sites through the Alpokalja from Sopronkövesd, with another Fertőrákos lake cruise that day.
June Into Summer
E-boats run June 4, 9, 11, 18, 20, and 25; the Hany Safari pops up June 5, 12, 17, 19, 24, and 26; and Hegykő hosts Children’s Day on June 7. The 1 Drop Festival (1 Csepp Fesztivál) lands in Hegykő June 12–14. Canoe tours return June 16, 18, 23, and 25 in Balf. Don’t miss “Somewhere in America – Bon-Bon 30” (Valahol Amerika – Bon-Bon 30) on June 21 and the Roby Lakatos Gypsy Jazz Project on June 27—both in Fertőrákos.
