From September 19 to 21, 2025, Rácalmás (Rácalmás) transforms into a pumpkin lover’s paradise at the 21st annual Rácalmás Pumpkin Festival (Rácalmási Tökfesztivál). Families, friends, locals, and visitors gather in the beautiful park of the historic Jankovich Mansion (Jankovich-kúria) for three full days of delicious food, creative fun, and vibrant live entertainment.

Endless Fun for All Ages

The festival is designed with everyone in mind. Kids can dive into a world of children’s performances, both free and paid games, and the excitement of pumpkin carving and craft workshops. Adults are entertained by popular bands and artists and can enjoy a bustling craft fair filled with the works of genuine folk artisans. The schedule features art exhibitions, family programs, and plenty of interactive opportunities that bring the community together.

Gastronomy Meets Art

Foodies are in for a treat with both traditional Hungarian and international flavors awaiting discovery. Local specialties and tempting culinary delights are available for tasting, while food and drink vendors line the paths. The organizers firmly believe in the connection between gastronomy and art, so expect beautifully presented dishes made from quality ingredients. In addition to eating well, guests can enjoy events that feed the soul, with programs focused on culture, current topics, and the arts.

Special Friday for Schools

As tradition holds, Friday’s daytime hours are dedicated to school and kindergarten groups from Rácalmás (Rácalmás) and neighboring towns. Children are welcomed in organized groups, giving them the chance to immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere and take home magical memories from their special day.

Tickets, Rules, and Practical Info

Entry requires a ticket: choose between daily tickets, three-day passes, or children’s tickets. Discounted tickets are available with appropriate documentation. Some programs and games, as well as food and handicraft products, require separate payment beyond the entry fee. Children under 14 may only enter with a parent or guardian; those under 6 get in free, and kids aged 6 to 14 need a children’s ticket. Tickets can be purchased in advance or during the festival, and SZÉP cards are accepted on site only.

Stay in Style and Explore Rácalmás

Accommodation isn’t a problem. Stay at the Animo Inn (Animo Fogadó), located right off the M6 highway, with private rooms for up to 100 guests. Or, for a more historic experience, the Jankovich Mansion (Jankovich-kúria) itself in the heart of old Rácalmás (Rácalmás) offers 21 superior rooms, 24 deluxe rooms, and an apartment, all stylishly furnished. For something quieter, there’s a cozy five-apartment guesthouse for up to 13 people, nestled in the peaceful old town just a short stroll from the Danube (Duna).
