Zalakaros rolls into the holidays with a packed lineup from December 20–26 and well into January. The spa town blends culture, food, wellness, and family fun across multiple venues, with exhibitions, concerts, theater, film screenings, festivals, thermal and adventure baths, sports, and plenty of guaranteed and optional leisure programs. It’s also worth exploring the surrounding area—there are tons of hiking and excursion options in and beyond the resort’s borders.

Christmas and snowy spa parties
December 20–26 brings Christmas holiday programs all over Zalakaros. On December 27 and again on December 29, the Zalakaros Spa hosts the magical Snowy Spa Party (Havas Fürdőparty): bathe outdoors in snowfall, soak in steaming thermal water, bask in festive lighting and décor, and catch a live concert from 17:00 by the Decsi Brothers (Decsi Fivérek). It’s the winter experience you’ll brag about.

Skate season at Karos Promenade
Hit the ice at the Karos Promenade (Karos Korzó) rink: December 22–28, December 29–January 4, January 5–11, January 12–18, January 19–25, and January 26–31. All ages, all week—just glide.
New Year’s Eve: two parties, one night
December 31 in Zalakaros means double the fun. Event Square: 20:00–02:00 DJ Rebell. Event Hall: New Year’s Eve Party – All Inclusive at Karos Promenade (Karos Korzó). Ring in 2026 together—same vibe as always, just a little different.
