The charm of Lake Balaton in autumn is something you have to experience to believe. As the harvest winds down and the crowds thin out, Badacsony (Badacsony) transforms into a stunning backdrop of deep reds and yellows. In the midst of this vibrant scenery, Fig Fest (FĂŒgefeszt) returns to the lakeshore for its second year from October 10-12, 2025âready to offer much more than just delicious figs.
Beyond the Fig: Food, Wine, and Vibes
Led by PĂ©ter Vincze and his team, the festival aims to showcase the Balaton regionâs evolution in culture and gastronomy. Fig Festâs (FĂŒgefeszt) guest list doesnât stop at local hot spotsâexceptional chefs and restaurants from all over Hungary, ranging from Michelin-star kitchens to crowd favorites, are invited to join the party. This gathering is a post-summer celebration; a slower, deeper dive into flavors, craftsmanship, and hospitality after the summer rush.
