This Lake Balaton hotspot promises non-stop excitement for everyone.
April Open Cellars and Wine Terraces
Kick off with Open Cellar Days at Festetics Helikon Taverna Cellar on April 11, 18, and 25. On April 15, catch Best Musical Innovations, an educational musical journey led by conductor and music teacher Tamás Kiss, featuring Zoltán Kodály’s Háry János, Ferenc Erkel’s Bánk bán, BedĹ™ich Smetana’s The Moldau (Vltava), burlesque and western film scores, plus tunes from The Lion King (Oroszlánkirály). April 18 brings Pezseg a Balaton!—a spring wine and sparkling tasting plus gastro party with sunshine, lake views, great wines, and bubbly vibes that turn lazy afternoons into epic nights. From April 3–26, Szevasz Terrace at Papp Winery launches the spring wine terrace season as part of the nationwide Magyar Bor Szevasz Terasz campaign, with nearly 100 wineries over four weekends for prime spring sipping amid vineyards and panoramas.
