Stay the Night: Charm in the Heart of the Wine Region
Badacsonyörs (Badacsonyörs) lies in the heart of the Badacsony (Badacsony) wine region, on the sunny southern slope of Örsi Hill (Örsi-hegy), offering mesmerizing views of Badacsony Mountain (Badacsony-hegy) and Lake Balaton (Balaton). Open year-round, the guesthouses here are decorated in white, gray, beige, and cool pastel tones, combining rustic wooden accents with modern comfort. Energy-efficient heating and cooling systems keep rooms comfortable winter or summer. Six unique rooms and one apartment welcome couples and families, with a special play area and mini kitchen upstairs for children.
Wine Culture: Meet the Makers
The area is famous for its boutique and family-run wineries. The Csanádi Winery (Csanádi Pince), run by József and his son Csanád, crafts wines from traditional local grapes on 24 acres, continuing a heritage that goes back generations. The Barcza family’s boutique Four80 Winery (Négy80 Pince)—named for the 480-cm vine row spacing—cultivates 27 acres and specializes in white varieties like the uniquely Badacsony Kéknyelű, Pinot Gris (“szürkebarát”), and Zeus (Zeusz). Visitors can book tastings in advance to sample their best selections.
The Sipos Winery and Guesthouse (Sipos Borház és Vendégház) at the foot of Badacsony Hill (Badacsony-hegy), one of the region’s earliest private cellars, also welcomes guests for tastings and local artisanal foods. Expect organic vineyards, fresh produce from the garden, homemade and regional cheeses, hams, and salamis, all served in a garden that feels just like home.
Something for Everyone: It’s Not Just About the Music
With romantic rooms, specialty coffee, a fireplace for chilly evenings, and a modern bistro kitchen featuring natural wines from the historic volcanic hills, comfort is never in short supply. The region’s largest family winery invites guests to explore the land, discover the tradition and culture behind each vintage, and above all, experience genuine Balaton (Balaton) hospitality.
Please note—the organizers reserve the right to modify the schedule or lineup if needed. But with music this good and wine flowing freely, it’s hard to imagine anyone complaining.
