Az Ágens Company (Ágens Társulat) and the Bikal Experience Theater (Bikali Élményszínház) launch a fresh 2026 season at the Bikal Experience Estate (Bikali Élménybirtok), inviting audiences back to a world where history, humor, and hands-on spectacle collide. Nearly a decade into their collaboration, the troupes promise the same signature blend of wit and immersive theater that’s made their shows a summer staple in Southern Transdanubia. The venue: 7346 Bikal, Rákóczi St. 22. Booking and info lines are available; organizers reserve the right to change dates and programs.
Dates to circle in July
July 13: From the Stone Axe to the Helicopter – educational show (A kőbaltától a helikopterig – ismeretterjesztő előadás). Expect a fast, funny tour through human invention that turns tech timelines into live theater.
July 15: The Squire – another Don Quixote story (A fegyverhordozó – egy másik Don Quijote történet). A sideways tribute to Cervantes, told from a viewpoint that rarely gets the headline.
July 20: Open Sesame! – the travels of a wanderer (Tárulj Szezám! – egy utazó kalandjai). Adventure, folklore, and quick-change storytelling made for families and daydreamers.
July 22: Gentleman Course – a relationship show with Zina (Úr-kurzus – párkapcsolati előadás Zinával). Sharp, relatable, cheeky—relationship dynamics laid bare on stage.
July 27: Weapons Showcase with Knight Tamás (Fegyverbemutató Tamás lovaggal). Steel meets skill in a live demonstration that pairs history with stagecraft.
July 29: Even Crazier History of Music – This Is How You Listen (Még flúgosabb zenetörténet – így hallgattok Ti). Music history turned upside down, with jokes and earworms in equal measure.
Where the past steps forward
Set at the foot of the Mecsek, the Puchner Estate spans more than 34.6 acres ringed by ancient trees. Beside its castle hotel, the Experience Estate (Élménybirtok) transforms into a bustling medieval town—lanes, crafts, arenas, and stages all humming with activity. Visitors can book accommodations, browse event times, and plan meals on-site.
Eat like travelers of old
No medieval quest is complete without a tavern. Near the Southern Gate and the swan lake, the famed Inn of the White Swan (Fogadó a Fehér Hattyúhoz) draws guests in with enticing aromas and a menu that nods to the Middle Ages. Rustic dishes, period-style décor, and generous portions set the tone for a long evening of theater and storytelling.
