The charm of Lake Balaton in autumn is something you have to experience to believe. As the harvest winds down and the crowds thin out, Badacsony (Badacsony) transforms into a stunning backdrop of deep reds and yellows. In the midst of this vibrant scenery, Fig Fest (Fügefeszt) returns to the lakeshore for its second year from October 10-12, 2025—ready to offer much more than just delicious figs.
Beyond the Fig: Food, Wine, and Vibes
Led by Péter Vincze and his team, the festival aims to showcase the Balaton region’s evolution in culture and gastronomy. Fig Fest’s (Fügefeszt) guest list doesn’t stop at local hot spots—exceptional chefs and restaurants from all over Hungary, ranging from Michelin-star kitchens to crowd favorites, are invited to join the party. This gathering is a post-summer celebration; a slower, deeper dive into flavors, craftsmanship, and hospitality after the summer rush.
The Ultimate Autumn Experience
There’s nothing like sipping an exciting local wine on the lakeshore, jazz music in the air, the water glittering beside you while the sun sets behind the hills. Fig Fest (Fügefeszt) gives you that “can’t-repeat-this” magic—thanks to a handpicked lineup of jazz and pop musicians, capped off by a major concert on Saturday. Kids under 14 enter free, so families can get in on the fun too.
The Man Behind the Festival
Péter Vincze, festival owner and director, is a seasoned pro in events and hospitality, with 15 years of experience and more than 100 successful family gatherings and major festivals under his belt—some drawing over 10,000 visitors. Vincze’s vision is clear: Fig Fest (Fügefeszt) is about building a world of its own, full of unique food and drink, live music, art, kids’ activities, and nature just a breath away.
