The Holy Spirit Church (Szentlélek Church) in Hévíz becomes a midweek magnet from April 15 to October 28, 2026, as the Majestic Sounds concert series settles in for a full season of organ and chamber music. Every Wednesday at 8 p.m., audiences get 60–70 minutes of soaring repertoire shaped by artistic director and founder Miklós Teleki, the Siófok-based, Artisjus Award–winning organist and pianist. The venue is 8380 Hévíz, Széchenyi Street 38, and the mood ranges from intimate to thunderous—thanks to a program that alternates solo organ fireworks with refined ensemble textures.

Who’s Playing and When

Teleki anchors the calendar with a string of dates: April 22 and 29; May 6, 13, 20, and 27; June 3, 10, and 24; July 1, 8, and 29; August 5, 12, and 26; September 9, 23, and 30; October 7, 14, and 21. He’s joined by guest artists on select nights, adding fresh colors to the nave. On June 17 and August 19, soprano Zsuzsa Berényi steps in, bringing operatic glow to the organ’s grandeur. On July 15 and September 16, Nóra Ducza adds her voice, crafting lyrical dialogues with Teleki’s registrations. International flair arrives July 22 with Dutch virtuoso Evert van de Veen. Organist Tamás Lozsányi leads on September 2 and at the season finale, October 28—bookends that spotlight contrasting styles within the Hungarian organ tradition.

How to Get In

Tickets are sold on-site one hour before each concert, payable by cash or card. General admission is USD 15.50 (converted from 5,500 HUF), while seniors pay USD 12.70 (from 4,500 HUF). Children under 8 get in free, making Wednesday nights family-friendly without sacrificing the high-bar programming. Arrive early for the best pews and a few quiet minutes to soak in the church’s acoustics before the first chord rolls out from the gallery.

What to Expect

Expect variety. The series balances solo organ masterworks with chamber collaborations, letting the instrument’s full dynamic range unfold—whispering hymn textures one minute, festival-trompeting tutti the next. While the plan is robust, organizers reserve the right to change dates and programs, so a quick check before you go is wise. Either way, Wednesdays in Hévíz now have a soundtrack.
