Drift into calm in Hévíz with a wellness day pass at the five-star Lotus Therme Hotel. Book ahead, roll in, and recharge in style, from morning laps to twilight steam. Saturday is off-limits, but the rest of the week opens the doors wide: Monday to Friday and Sunday, 7:00–22:00, subject to availability. Price: $44 per person. Elegant, relaxed, and fully loaded.

Your pass includes unlimited spa access during your time slot, plus a bathrobe, towel, sauna sheet, and covered parking. There’s a refundable cash deposit of $11 per person, which covers a wristwatch-style key for the lockers and a card for robe/towel use. You’ll get it back when you return both at the spa reception.

Pools and Thermal Bliss

Take your pick: outdoor and indoor pools, hot whirlpool, therapeutic pool, relaxation pool, and meditation pool. The thermal touch meets leafy parkland for that signature Hévíz hush.

Sauna World and Rituals

Turn up the heat in the Finnish sauna, steam bath, aroma-light sauna, laconium, garden sauna, and infrared sauna. Enjoy experience showers, a Kneipp foot-therapy pool, and daily sauna rituals—join the 17:00 infusion if there’s space and you’ve signed up.

Organizers reserve the right to change times and programs.

Pros
+
Great value for a luxe 5-star spa day at about $44, with robe, towel, sauna sheet, and parking included
+
Super family-friendly for teens and adults who enjoy pools and saunas, with multiple pool types and calm vibes
+
Hévíz’s thermal culture is internationally known among spa travelers, so the experience feels authentic, not gimmicky
+
Easy for non-Hungarian speakers—staff at major spas typically speak English, and the system (locker key, deposits) is straightforward
+
Reached easily by car with covered parking; by public transport you can bus from Budapest to Hévíz then short taxi/ride to the hotel
+
Long opening hours (7:00–22:00) give flexibility for day trippers or lazy vacation days
+
Comparable to top European thermal complexes (e.g., Germany/Austria) but at a lower price and with a quieter, less touristy feel
Cons
Not ideal for small kids who need slides/play zones—this is a serene wellness vibe, not a water park
Hévíz town is less famous to U.S. visitors than Budapest or Lake Balaton hotspots, so it might require extra planning
Saturday is excluded and sauna rituals require sign-up/space, so spontaneity can be limited
Public transport from Budapest takes time (roughly 2.5–3.5 hours with transfers), so it’s easier with a rental car or as part of a nearby stay
