For the 24th time, the legendary Szentes Lecsó Festival (Szentes Lecsófesztivál) will bring together food enthusiasts on September 5–6, 2025, in Apponyi Square (Apponyi tér), Szentes (Szentes). The event is a magnet for open-air stew masters and paprika lovers from all over Hungary and beyond, drawing teams from Transylvania (Erdély), Vojvodina (Vajdaság), Upper Hungary (Felvidék), and Carpathian Ruthenia (Kárpátalja).

Nothing says Hungarian summer quite like the aroma of simmering peppers and tomatoes. At one of Hungary’s top ten food festivals, hundreds compete to create the ultimate lecsó, while thousands gather to taste, cheer, and enjoy the unbeatable atmosphere. The festival promises popular music stars and local bands, dance groups, and non-stop entertainment—from bounce houses and skill games to a full fairground—offering fun for everyone from ages 1 to 100.
