Mezőkövesd is rolling out a full-blown pig-slaughter weekend with live music, buffet spreads, and old-school winter vibes. From the first scent of roasting meat to the last clink of glasses, it’s all about juicy sausage, crackling-fresh kolbász, hearty roasts, and those unmistakable Hungarian flavors that turn a gray weekend into a warm, loud, laughter-filled bash. The base camp is the Hajnal Hotel (Hajnal Hotel), which adds wellness comforts to rustic charm—so you can feast, then float in the spa.

Friday Warm-Up
Arrival night sets the tone: a generous buffet dinner with live music, built for mingling and getting into the disznótor groove. Think old friends, new buddies, clinking glasses, and long tables piled with comfort dishes.
Saturday: The Big Feast
It starts early and spirited. Between 7:00 and 9:00 at reception, each guest gets one pálinka and one cup of mulled wine. Then a hearty buffet breakfast runs 7:00–10:00. At noon, classic flavors take center stage with a buffet lunch: pork backbone soup with vermicelli and vegetables, toros cabbage, roast meats with potatoes, and fresh strudel.
Night is the headline act: the disznótor with live music. The buffet lineup goes all in—soups, roast meats and ribs, hurka and kolbász, mashed potatoes with onions, stuffed cabbage, and for dessert, honey cream slice and pudding. The music and dishes do the heavy lifting; you just show up hungry.
Sunday Send-Off
Wrap it up with a filling buffet breakfast featuring pork cracklings and bacon—a salty, crunchy goodbye to a flavor-packed weekend.
Wellness on Tap
Between courses, the hotel’s wellness area is open for decompression: relax, reset, and make room for round two. It’s a village feast, just with saunas and spa robes.
