May 6 – Weapons with Knight Tamás

What pops into your head when you picture a medieval fighter? Brutality, grit, ingenuity, skill? Knight Tamás walks you through the real deal: the rules of chivalric combat, how swordplay actually worked, and the evolving world of medieval weaponry. Learn why armor changed shape over time and what extras were added; get to know the chain flail, throwing javelin, throwing crossbow, and spike. Want to be a squire for a minute? Listen up, ask well, and you might even handle the weapons. Location: Bikal.

May 9 – Fairy-Tale Saturdays

Fairy-Tale Saturdays at Élménybirtok turn Bikal into a day-long medieval playground. There’s a spectacular joust, theatrical shows for kids, a huge playground, interactive games, and craft workshops. Try your hand at period skills, peek into artisan secrets, and shop for handmade goods in the masters’ workshops. Slip into a role at the Tailor’s costume rental: princess, knight, noble—or the jester, if mischief calls. Hungry mid-quest? The Inn serves tasty meals and refreshing drinks. Family adventure starts here. Location: Bikal.

May 9 – The Squire: Another Don Quixote Story

The Squire shines a spotlight on the eternal sidekick: Sancho Panza. With irony and humor, and the powerhouse voice of István Orlik (Luke), Sancho retells the saga from his own moving angle. He even files a complaint to Cervantes, prompting a wager. Always introduced as the chubby guy on the donkey chasing a moody, windmill-whacking knight, Sancho refuses to fade into the margins. He skewers fame’s blind spots—Holmes without Watson, Frodo without Sam, Don Juan without Sganarelle—and calls time on the sidelining of secondary heroes. Location: Bikal.

May 13 – “Father Lockdown Panic” Stand-up

“Apuzárási pánik – apa stand up” blitzes through fatherhood with humor and a wink: Help, I’m a dad! Joy, tears, fear, anger, and the creeping doubt—am I doing this right? While motherhood gets center stage in books and talks, this set imagines the same identity earthquake from a man’s side—from panic to bliss and the constant role shift between Man and Dad. István Orlik (Luke) delivers the story of becoming a father with comedy and bite—no songs this time. Location: Bikal.

May 16 – Witchcraft and Sorcery with Zina

Step into the worlds of medieval witches and wise women—and track their echoes in the present—with an unforgettable, witty guide. From gossip and backtalk that drew punishment, to charms and incantations that still feel oddly useful, Zina explores who the witches were, how persecution began, and what spells survived the centuries. You’ll even leave with a lifelong charm. A joint production by Ágens Company (Ágens Társulat) and Bikal Experience Theater (Bikali Élményszínház). Location: Bikal.

May 16 – Fairy-Tale Saturdays

Another jam-packed Saturday in Bikal with jousts, stories, crafts, a vast playground, and role-play via the Tailor’s costume shop. Visit artisans, buy handmade pieces, and unwind at the Inn with good food and drinks. Location: Bikal.

May 18 – The Light-Maker: Musical Light Magic

Dive into a next-level light show where music, intelligent lighting, and special soundscapes sketch a world of shadow and glow—the eternal clash of good and evil, one light fading as another flares.
