The Kiss Pál Museum, one of Hungary’s oldest regional museums, keeps the energy high in 2025 with a packed program alongside its two permanent exhibitions. It also operates the Nyúzó Gáspár Fazekas Folk House (Nyúzó Gáspár Fazekas Tájház), where visitors can step into the original living environment of Tiszafüred’s once-thriving pottery craft and explore its tools, forms, and everyday objects.
Hands-on days for all ages
November brings three museum education sessions in Tiszafüred. On 2025.11.11, the St. Martin’s Day folk playhouse rolls out traditional crafts and games tied to the seasonal feast. A week later, on 2025.11.21, Legyél te is mamutvadász! (Be a Mammoth Hunter!) turns prehistory into an interactive adventure for kids and curious adults. The month wraps up on 2025.11.28 with Adventi készülődés (Advent Preparations), a cozy, craft-focused lead-in to the holidays.
Fossils steal the spotlight
From 2025.10.17 to 2025.11.28, the temporary exhibition “Memories of Millions of Years from the Carpathian Basin” digs into deep time with regional paleontological finds. The schedule lists 25 highlights overall, so plan ahead—Tiszafüred’s cultural calendar is stacked.
