The Kiss Pál Museum, one of Hungary’s oldest rural museums, is rolling out a lively 2026 calendar in Tiszafüred alongside its two permanent exhibitions. Its affiliated Nyúzó Gáspár Pottery Folk House (Nyúzó Gáspár Fazekas Tájház) showcases the once-popular local craft of pottery with original tools and an authentic living environment.
January Highlights
January 22 brings Hungarian Culture Day: a literary and art adventure inside the museum’s 19th-century exhibition, designed as a museum education session for primary school classes. On January 30, “Be a Mammoth Hunter!” (Legyél te is mamutvadász!) invites kindergarteners and primary school students to explore prehistory through hands-on activities in Tiszafüred.
February Fun
The mammoth-hunter program returns on February 13 for another round of kid-friendly discovery. On February 27, a Carnival celebration heats up with a winter-chasing straw effigy burning, offered as a museum education workshop for kindergarteners and primary school groups in Tiszafüred.
