March Kickoff
Kick off with the Spring Art Days running March 13 to April 18 across Hajdúszoboszló. On March 28, catch the Junkies concert, a Tűzzománc Workshop making akasztó (traditional Hungarian hanging crafts), and the Souvenir de Florence concert by the Kodály Philharmonic at the Kovács Máté City Cultural Center. The setlist features Mozart’s A major clarinet quintet K. 581, a chamber music gem inspired by Anton Stadler that spotlights the clarinet’s rich tones in elegant, lyrical interplay between soloist and strings. Then Tchaikovsky’s D minor Souvenir de Florence Op. 70 for strings, originally a sextet from 1890, full of passionate drama, bold contrasts, and an energetic, dance-like finale—now arranged for string orchestra.
