If you’re mourning the end of summer parties, don’t worry—historians will mark September 19-21, 2025, as autumn’s most riotous sendoff in Tállya, right in the heart of the beautiful Tokaj-Hegyalja (Tokaj Foothills) wine region. For the 10th year, the Kerekdomb Festival returns with a full lineup of concerts, wine tastings, theater, literature, and outdoor adventures, all set among the region’s legendary vineyards and charming cellars.

A Festival to Wrap Up Festival Season

Kerekdomb isn’t ready to say goodbye to the festival buzz. September is no longer just about lakesides and sunbathing; it’s about autumn’s unique charm and the magic of the harvest season. Over three days, you’ll experience a whirlwind of live music, iconic wines, theater, and literature—plus, if you need to refresh more than just your mind, hiking, paddling on the Bodrog River, running, and cycling will keep you moving. It’s all about variety and community, packing what feels like an entire season into one weekend.

The Musical Lineup: Eclectic and Electric

The Cellar Master’s House (Vincellér Ház) Main Stage welcomes Hungary’s musical royalty. After their forced break, Elefánt will make one of their first comebacks here, followed by Analog Balaton. Saturday brings Szabó Balázs Band, Péterfy Bori & Love Band, and 30Y, while Sunday transforms the venue into a theater for ‘Couples’ (Házastársas), starring Anita Ábel (Ábel Anita) and Simon Szabó.

At the Palace Winery (Palota Borház), the younger crowd will find their favorites: Sisi, Lil Frakk, Duckshell, Fiúk, and QJÚB (a creative project by Miklós Vecsei H.). You’ll also catch new acts from the Hangfoglaló Program—Lowercase Holidays (Kisbetűs Ünnepnapok), CIBI, and WXLFESS—lighting up the festival’s up-and-coming music stages.

The Szűcs Winery offers a finale with Áron András, following performances by Jazzbois, Sena Dagadub, Swim Swim Naked, Palo Canto, Kale Lulugyi, Gently Da Spittah, and Slovakia’s Jóvilágvan. Those seeking a more intimate vibe can settle into the Owl Castle (Bagolyvár) for performances by Libido, Ádám Beretka, Józsi Hegedűs, egy5egy, and Géem. At the Harness Yard (Nyerges Udvar), you’ll find an equally cozy atmosphere, featuring Zsófi Kemény with Edina Szirtes, haidubianka, Villő and Hűvös, Myrstus Akusztik, and Nosnach!.

Beyond the Music: Films, Art, and All Ages

The Mailloth Mansion is the place for everything non-musical. Here you’ll find charity wine tastings, films from the Malter Traveling Film Festival (Malter Vándor Filmfesztivál), a Slovak-Hungarian art exhibit, discussions about Gen Z’s cultural habits, and a screening of ‘On Body and Soul’ (Testről és Lélekről) followed by a panel discussion. Many of these programs flourish thanks to EU cross-border collaboration grants, linking Kerekdomb with Slovakia’s Gombaszög Summer Camp (Gombaszögi Nyári Tábor) and strengthening culture across borders.

Upstairs at the mansion: a digital art exhibit and ongoing conversations all weekend about the digital world and artificial intelligence. Kids aren’t forgotten—shadow plays, sing-alongs, and theater will keep them busy here too.

At the Creative House (Alkotóház), you’ll discover hands-on crafts and games, while the Tokaj Art Wine Willow Gallery (Barka Galéria) not only hosts the ‘Nothing and Infinity’ (Semmi és végtelen) exhibit, but also live music-literature events. Boglárka Boggie Csemer, Zsófi Kemény, and Anna Juhász team up for a special program; János Ávéd and Miklós Vecsei H. perform András Visky’s ‘Expulsion’ (Kitelepítés); Szonja Oroszlán and Steve Hajdu aim to win hearts with their ‘Songverse’ (Dalversek) show.

Every Corner Is Festival Territory

The Evangelical Church offers classical concerts, including a performance by the University of Miskolc Faculty of Music. The Community House is transformed into a theater space, with the Slovak Trepp Theater’s (Trepp Színház) ‘Prettier Than Ilona’ (Szebb, mint Ilona), performances from János Háy, and the RS9 Theatre presenting Nick Hornby’s ‘Tits Christ’ (Cicikrisztus).

Wine and food are essential: from Dévabor through T3 Winery, Somszög Estate, Rózsa Winery, Dudovics Winery, Próbakert Home Restaurant, Lindengarten Gastro Court (Lindengarten Gastro Porta), and the whole ‘wine passport’ tour—the region’s flavors are a central part of festival life.

How to Join the Autumn Party

Don’t want to miss out? Weekend passes (3-day): $53 advance, $56 at the gate. Day tickets: $10 (Sunday), $22 (Friday or Saturday). The ‘wine passport’—which includes tastings at top cellars—is $28. Trail running entry (with festival wristband) is $8, and tent camping is $10 per person per night. Tickets are available now, with early bird deals until September 21.

Note: Organizers may adjust dates or the lineup—so keep an eye out for updates. Tállya is calling—don’t miss autumn’s most irresistible festival!
