April Highlights
Kick off with the Cinegemadár Tolna County Folk Song and Folk Music Competition on April 14. On April 18, the Bartina Folk Dance Non-Profit Association celebrates its 60th anniversary with a gala performance and a gathering. April 19 brings the Agora Classic Music Afternoon – Four Seasons, Six Artists – A Sunday with Vivaldi. Dive into KulturKortyok Free University on April 21 with a talk on Ethiopia, or catch Robin Hawdon’s Szeretőlböl egy is sok (One Lover is Too Many) at the Babits Theater, tickets $20-$22. The Éneklő Ifjúság Díszhangverseny shines on April 24, followed by the Alisca Brass Band’s solo concert and the 13th Fedorka-Sosevolt Versnap on April 25. KulturKortyok heads to Uzbekistan on May 12. Lakatos László’s Megjöttem solo with opener Oliver Wolf is May 14 ($23), then Kovács Gergő’s song recital May 15 ($12). The 15th Borvidék Half Marathon runs May 16. Zene nélkül mit érek én… – Cserháti Zsuzsa és Máté Péter emlékkoncert (Without Music, What Am I Worth… – Memorial Concert for Cserháti Zsuzsa and Máté Péter) hits May 21 at Babits ($25). June brings Pocahontas by Topolcsányi Laura and Maráth Viktor in kids’ subscriptions on June 10-11 ($7), and the Apostol concert June 13 ($29-$36). Férjek a slamasztikában (Husbands in a Bind), a French comedy in two acts, lands June 23.
