March Kickoff
March 25 brings a Book Club on hotels, inns, and guesthouses. March 24-26 features Easter museum pedagogy sessions at Lamberg Castle. On March 27, Castle Academy hosts Dr. Vizi László Tamás’s talk “Mi veszett el Mohácsnál? – A mohácsi csata félezer év távlatából” (What Was Lost at Mohács? – The Battle of Mohács from a Half-Millennium Perspective). March 28 offers fairy tale mornings for kindergarteners. The Easter egg tree decorating event on March 31 at the city market square invites all: 10:00 for kindergarteners, 14:00 for schoolchildren. Mór families and civic groups can place holiday decorations anytime before Easter. Note: craft weatherproof pieces for spring outdoor exposure!
April Excitement
April 5 rocks with an Easter sprinkling ball by Hangulat Band. April 10 celebrates Hungarian Poetry Day with Tóbisz Tinelli Tamás’s verses-and-music evening. The Spring Vineyard Tour on April 18 lets visitors explore the Mór wine region’s top wineries, vineyards, and local specialties with tastings, hikes, and authentic vibes. April 18-26 features the XXVI. Móri Szent György-heti Vigasságok. April 25 hosts the “EZERJÓ FAKANÁLFORGATÓ” national cooking contest for wine-based dishes. On April 26: Lakatos László’s Megjöttem solo show (opener: Oliver Wolf) at Dumaszínház Old Cinema; tickets $20-$26.
