April 7-10: Boat Cruises Kick Off the Fun
From April 7 to 10, hop on Siófok sightseeing boat cruises for chill vibes on the water. The perfect way to soak up the lakeside scenery right at the start of spring.
April 8: History’s Unsung Heroines Book Launch
On Wednesday, April 8 at 5pm, dive into “A TÖRTÉNELEMÍRÁS ÁLDOZATAI, AVAGY MEGRÁGALMAZOTT NŐK A TÖRTÉNELEMBEN” (Victims of History Writing, or Defamed Women in History) at BRTK Library’s lecture hall. The guest is writer, blogger, and women’s history researcher Budai Lotti. Free entry, so swing by for stories of overlooked women.
April 9: Acoustic Tunes for Poetry Day
Thursday, April 9 at 6pm, Egerszegi Akusztik rocks the Water Tower’s lower terrace on Main Square (Fő tér) for Poetry Day. Rain? Head to BRTK Library (Fő tér 2/A). Free show packed with musical poetry vibes.
April 10: Hobo’s Poetic Powerhouse & Kids’ Gigs
Friday, April 10, is packed with events. At 7pm, Hobo performs “Tudod, hogy nincs bocsánat” (You Know There’s No Forgiveness), a poem by József Attila, at Kálmán Imre Cultural Center’s Teátrum Kávéház – part of Poetry Day and Spring Festival. “I read József Attila’s works like holy books, sometimes seeing my own thoughts on the page. The show aims to draw you in and make you think deeper,” says Hobo (1991). He’s toured the country and beyond, delivering the poet’s words hundreds of times. Tickets $8.
Earlier, Gryllus Vilmos does a kids’ concert at 10am for preschoolers and grades 1-2 at the Cultural Center – free but online registration required. At 2pm, another Gryllus gig with sung poems for grades 3-4 and everyone – same deal, free with registration.
April 10-12: Bellydance Bonanza & More
Balaton Bellydance Festival runs April 10-12 as a charity event with killer workshops and shows. Kick off Friday afternoon with a workshop, then hafla dinner and dance in the city center. Saturday: four workshops in various styles from top instructors, capped by a massive gala featuring top Hungarian dancers in a Disney-themed extravaganza.
Also, April 6-12 brings an exciting outdoor city adventure game – team up with friends or family for hours of thrills while hitting Siófok’s landmarks.

Wednesday, April 15 at 7pm, Zorán’s 2026 tour hits Kálmán Imre Cultural Center’s theater for Spring Festival. This legend never slows down – packed houses everywhere, massive hits plus rare treats. Expect enchantment. Tickets $32.
April 17: Butterfly Magic with Gyuris Rita
Friday, April 17 at 4:30pm, Gyuris Rita (aka Plantprotecting Rita online) hosts an interactive show on live and pinned butterflies and caterpillars – colors, life cycles, all that jazz. At BRTK Library kids’ section. Registration needed; valid library card required (sign up on the spot if you’re new).
April 18: Masters of Illusion Wow Crowds
Saturday, April 18 at 3pm and 7pm, “Az Illúzió Mesterei” (Masters of Illusion) returns refreshed at Cultural Center theater. Fresh acts who’ve rocked Vegas, NYC, Beijing, Dubai, Paris, Monte Carlo – live magic with audience involvement, no camera tricks. Stars: Zee Zeus (big stage illusions), Kristály Márton (water orb wizard), Habók János (huge social following), Bognár Krisztián (award-winning sleight-of-hand). 2×50 mins with intermission, recommended 8+.
April 18-24: Cruises, Markets & Theater
Boat excursions April 18-19 and 20-24. Balatoni Gasztropiac on 19th, same spot. April 20 at 6pm, “Libikóka” (Seesaw) black comedy by William Gibson – Art-Színtér production at theater. Gittel and Jerry’s rocky relationship: up, down, no balance. Can love stop the seesaw? Starring Kardffy Aisha, Kerényi Miklós Máté; directed by Csiby Gergely. Tickets $11 (balcony), $12 (floor).
April 21 at 7pm, Varsányi Anna’s “Frida” musical romance honors Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera with laughs, heart, tunes. “He’s snoring terribly, but so cute with his jowls spilling on the pillow… looks like a fat tree frog awake.” Frida: Lukács Melinda (Karády Katalin award-winner). Tickets $7.
April 22-25: Trees, Operetta & Paris Laughs
Earth Day on April 22 at 1pm on Main Square (Fő tér) – with a National Tree Planting Day twist. Free native saplings for Siófok residents (ID required, homeowners preferred). Boost greenery, biodiversity, CO2 capture, eco-mindset. Get planting tips; promise to provide proper care and updates. Led by the city council for a greener future.
April 23, café operetta nights with Szendy Szilvi and Laki Péter at Cultural Center Teátrum. Tickets $7.
April 25 at 7pm, “Randevú Párizsban, avagy Kellemes Húsvéti Ünnepeket!” (Rendezvous in Paris, or Happy Easter!) comedy from Pesti Művész Színház. Based on 1984 film hit with Sophie Marceau and Jean-Paul Belmondo. Playboy tycoon Stéphane Margelle in posh Paris cheats like Casanova till he drops wife Sophie at the airport and the chaos kicks off.
