Head there any time of year to catch the vibes – Easter ramps it up big time with bunny madness, crafts, games, and beach parties that’ll have everyone hopping.
Easter Bunny Fest Fires Up April 3
The Húsvéti Nyuladalom (Easter Bunny Fest) kicks off Friday, April 3, at Main Square (Fő tér). Kickoff at 4 p.m. with ATARU TAIKO’s Japanese Drum Theater show, followed by Happiness TSE at 5:15 p.m., and Cotton Club Singers’ Best of at 7 p.m. Ongoing all weekend long (Fri-Mon, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.): Easter crafts, Lavender Playhouse and Creative Workshop, Manófalvi kalandvár (Goblin Village Adventure Castle) with tricky, fun games, traditional Easter eats, gastro stalls, wine terrace, and artisan market. Boat trips run April 3-6 from Siófok. Over at Siófok’s Big Beach, Balaton Parti Nyuszi Party (Lakeside Bunny Party) offers bouncy castles, carousels, sweet treasure hunts, Ferris wheels, trampolines, dodgems, slides, and electric kid cars for ages 3-6. The whole town morphs into a family adventure park with laughs, crafts, kid games, and spring surprises right by the lake.
April 4: City Tales Walk and Bunny Adventures
Saturday, April 4 starts with Épületmesék (Building Tales) – a free guided city walk (register required) from 10 a.m. at the Water Tower. Lasts 1-1.5 hours, diving into Siófok’s architecture, history, lakeside growth, and hidden stories behind familiar facades – perfect for history buffs. At noon-4 p.m., Édenkerti Nyuszikaland (Eden Garden Bunny Adventure) at Édenpanzió garden (Kereszt utca 2, Szabadifürdő, across from Sanyi Sarok) has egg hunts with chocolate prizes, dog show from 1 p.m. by Kutyákkal a Gyermekekért Alapítvány (Dogs for Kids Foundation), bouncy castles for little and big kids, petting and feeding bunnies, creative corner for Easter decor, lemonade, and carrot cake. Free entry, no pets allowed to ensure smooth dog demos – bring picnic blankets! Back at Main Square: 10 a.m. Kovácsovics Fruzsina kids’ concert, 11 a.m. Nyúl-derby (Bunny Derby; bring your scooter or roller to race and win), 11:30 a.m. egg tree decorating, 1 p.m. kids’ aerial yoga with Mindig Jóga studio, 2:15 p.m. BNK Dance Art modern/competition demo, 2:30 p.m. X-Press TSE visual dance, 3 p.m. Varázs Tamás magic show, 4 p.m. Singh Viki Disney kids’ concert, another magic show at 4:30 p.m., 5:15 p.m. CSM Dance Studio demo, and 7 p.m. Wolf Kati Band gig. April 5: Egg & Bunny Races Rock
Sunday’s highlight: IX. #hashtEGG Tojás- és Nyúlfutam (Egg & Bunny Run) at Main Square. Free but register on-site 9-11 a.m. Kids and families run playfully, egg-eating/peeling contests crown the Egg King, warm-ups led by Monostori Réka (BKES – Balatoni Kajak- és Evezős Sportklub), medals for all finishers, Easter buffet, animations. Details: 10 a.m. family games, 10:45 a.m. warm-up, 11 a.m. start, 11:15 a.m. buffet, 11:30 a.m. Egg King contests, noon prizes.
