March 15 National Holiday
On March 15, 2026, students from Székesfehérvár’s Vasvári Pál Gimnázium bring 1848’s spring revolution to life with a special performance honoring the heroes of the revolution and freedom fight. In the city center, families can dive into extra fun like demos by the Fehérvári Hussars and traditional honvéd artillery reenactors, a folk playground, craft workshops, interactive games, and the József-napi fair. It’s a full day of patriotic vibes and kid-friendly action.
That same weekend, keep your eyes peeled for flash mobs by the Vörösmarty Theater. On Saturday: 1pm at Városháza Square, 2pm at the train station, 3pm in front of Alba Plaza. Sunday: 2pm at Alba Plaza, 2:30pm at Vörösmarty Theater, and 3:30pm back at Városháza Square. Surprise street performances titled “Talpra magyar!” – pure energy!
The Szent István Király Museum opens its doors free on March 15, with Székesfehérvár sites from 10am to 6pm and the Gorsium Archaeological Park in Tac from 8am to 4pm. All exhibits are gratis – perfect for history buffs.

March 19 brings “Szeretetkert” (Love Garden) at KÖFÉM Cultural House, tickets $16 to $22. On March 24, Kormos Anett’s “A nőknek nincs humora” (Women Have No Sense of Humor) at the same venue, $19 to $25.
