April 1-12 Highlights
Kick things off April 1-11 with Jászai Mari Theater performances ($6-$16). On April 7, catch the Cserháti Zsuzsa Memorial Evening at Vértes Agora. That same day through April 12, the Spring Festival lights up Tatabánya. April 8 brings the book launch of “The Joy of Healing” at Tulip House, featuring a conversation with Oscar-winning director István Szabó on Tatabánya’s past and present. April 10, Illényi Katica performs at Vértes Agora ($22). April 11 features the Gábor Ölveczky exhibition opening at Tulip House—a showcase of the versatile artist’s works from calligraphy and poster designs to book illustrations and objects—plus “Every Woman’s Story – With Men and Without Them,” 70 minutes of music and words by Nóra Lázár, Zsóka Tóth, and Gabriella Ocskai. April 12 continues the Ölveczky show at Tulip House and the family-friendly “Ours is the Big Stage!” warm-up with Tatabánya City Wind Orchestra at Vértes Agora’s main hall ($7).
