The VII Boglart Festival hits Balatonboglár from August 26 to 30, 2026 (Wednesday to Sunday). Head to 8630 Szabadság utca 28 (Freedom Street 28), in Babel Camp by Lake Balaton, for this family-friendly folk and world music festival plus courses. It’s a mix of festival, folk music classes, music industry forum, and showcase. Days focus on music lessons; evenings feature bands alternating on two stages, followed by dancing till dawn in the folk pub.
Folk-World Music Fest by Lake Balaton
The special vibe comes from blending music camp and festival: learning by day, dancing and concerts by night. Boglart isn’t just gigs—it’s an inspiring creative space and community hangout where classes, tunes, and Balaton summer vibes harmonize perfectly. Year after year, it stands out in domestic and international lineups by fusing camp and festival experiences.
Programs and Info – August 26-30, 2026
Freshly announced acts include Belgian Enara Navaira, Senegalese Afrikora, Istrian Veja, plus homegrown Okos Viola, Obadu, and fest hosts Góbé. Performers often teach daytime workshops ranging from Moldavian and string folk techniques to music business know-how. Evenings feature táncház (dance houses), followed by world music and electronic afterparties. After last year’s buzz, the showcase block returns for domestic and foreign pros to network and brainstorm.
Tickets are super cheap now until mid-November’s first lineup drop: festival passes, combo tickets, 48-hour or daily passes. Discounts for under-18s, over-64s, and teachers. For course or showcase sign-ups, pair discounted fest passes or dailies with course ones if eligible. Free for under-10s.
