Once again, Budapest is set to dazzle as the phenomenal 100-Piece Gypsy Orchestra (100 Tagú Cigányzenekar) throws its now-legendary MUSIC-WINE (ZENE-BOR) blowout on December 30, 2025. Marking its 29th year, this festival-slash-gala brings together the wild energy of virtuoso gypsy music with Hungary’s best wine and extravagant cuisine, all wrapped inside a spectacle that’s both a feast for the senses and a uniquely Hungarian year-end bash.
The Lineup: Classics, Operettas & Explosions
The orchestra’s two-part concert blends vibrant gypsy melodies, beloved classical pieces, and a variety of folk genres—all reimagined with that rich, unmistakable hundred-member sound. The most popular soloists from the Budapest Operetta Theatre (Operettszínház) will perform hits by Franz Lehár (Lehár Ferenc) and Emmerich Kálmán (Kálmán Imre), while the grand finale—under the baton of József Lendvai Csócsi (Lendvai Csócsi József)—culminates with fireworks and the orchestra’s staple showstoppers: The Lark (Pacsirta) and the Radetzky March.
Immersive Dining: Four Courses & Fine Wine
Feeling peckish? If you want more than just music, you can get tickets that include a luxurious four-course dinner crafted by executive chef Ákos Kosztán: foie gras torchon with candied orange chutney, free-range guinea fowl consommé, bacon-wrapped Mangalica pork tenderloin with porcini sauce, and pumpkin seed choux with raspberry.
