The latest exhibition uncovers how Hungarian folk culture has shaped and inspired fashion designers from the early 20th century all the way to today. Opening on February 12, the show highlights the unique forms and colorful motifs rooted in folk art, revealing their constant presence in fashion trends and designer creations.
More Than Just Embroidery
On display are nearly 150 pieces, including dresses, accessories, and various objects that prove folk art and fashion history have always been in conversation. Original garments stand beside modern interpretations, making it easy to spot recurring patterns and bold reimaginings drawn from the past.
Don’t Miss Your Chance
The exhibition is open during regular hours until October 30, and several guided tours are planned so visitors can dive even deeper into the ongoing romance between folk traditions and current fashion trends.
