These themed walks explore the castle’s exterior and interior, plus the daily lives and family routines of historical figures who lived here. Pre-registration is required to join the fun.
Practical Details for Little Ones
Strollers aren’t allowed in the exhibit areas, so bring a baby carrier or sling – or borrow one for free (limited supply). Tours last 60 minutes and start at 9:30 a.m., before the museum opens, fitting easily into family schedules. Themes dive into motherhood, breastfeeding, child-rearing, and parent-child bonds through the ages.
Family Support On-Site
A dedicated kids’ room on the ground floor offers a quiet spot for breastfeeding or warming baby food in the microwave, available during opening hours. Babies attend for free; adults pay $5 per person per tour.
