This Budapest Gala Has 100 Musicians — And Plenty Of Wine

Experience the unforgettable 100 Member Gypsy Orchestra gala in Budapest: world-class live music, gourmet Hungarian cuisine, and premier wines at the iconic Congress Center this December.
when: Tuesday, December 30
where: 1124 Budapest - 12. kerület - Hegyvidék, Jagelló u. 1-3.

The MUSIC-WINE (ZENE-BOR) festival returns for its 29th time on December 30, 2025, when the world-famous 100 Member Gypsy Orchestra (100 Tagú Cigányzenekar) throws its biggest party of the year in Budapest. This holiday gala concert promises an epic show with two acts, gourmet dining, and — as always — one hundred musicians filling the hall with their uniquely rich and unmistakable sound.

Virtuoso Music, Legendary Composers

The orchestra’s setlist is packed with high-energy, virtuosic gypsy music, beloved classical pieces, and reimagined folk tunes, all arranged in the trademark style of the “100 Member Gypsy Orchestra.” The celebrated soloists of the Budapest Operetta Theatre will perform hits from Ferenc Lehár (Lehár Ferenc) and Imre Kálmán (Kálmán Imre). The night will crescendo under lead violinist József Lendvai Csócsi (Lendvai Csócsi József), with can’t-miss renditions of Pacsirta (Nightingale) and the Radetzky March, topped off with a fireworks display.

Music Meets Gastronomy

Looking for more than just music? Upon arrival, guests are treated to a welcome drink. Those who crave flavors to match the melodies can enjoy either a lavish four-course feast or a curated cold plate, each paired with wines and fresh bread. As the orchestra celebrates its 40th anniversary, expect something truly spectacular — both for your ears and taste buds.

What’s for Dinner?

VIP and top-tier seats come with a sumptuous menu: duck liver torchon with candied orange chutney, Mangalica (Mangalica) ham, and brioche; consommé with guinea fowl; bacon-wrapped Mangalica tenderloin with gratin potatoes, grilled vegetables, and porcini sauce; and for dessert, pumpkin seed choux with raspberries. The meal is served with bread, salted butter, white, red, and rosé wines, mineral water, and coffee. Vegetarian options are available upon request. Cold plates feature gourmet bites like goose liver torchon, salmon gravlax, goat cheese tart, eggplant tartare, and, of course, plenty of wine.

Tickets & Tables

Prices range from $230 for a premium VIP dining seat down to $50 for concert-only balcony spots. Organizers may expand eight-person tables to nine if demand rises. The event is held at the Budapest Congress Center (Budapesti Kongresszusi Központ), though organizers reserve the right to adjust the lineup or date as necessary.

2025, adrienne
