A blockbuster exhibition explores more than a millennium of Chinese history, centering on the legendary Terracotta Army and the era of China’s first emperor. Titled The Guardians of Eternity – The Clay Soldiers of the First Chinese Emperor, the show brings together over 150 ancient artifacts, from striking archaeological finds to weapons, ritual objects, and imperial symbols, painting a vivid picture of power, warfare, and beliefs about the afterlife.
Ten Original Warriors on Display
The headline draw: ten original figures from the first emperor’s clay army, the underground force crafted to guard his tomb for eternity. These life-size soldiers, once painted in bold colors, stand alongside bronze weaponry and ceremonial pieces that reveal how the Qin reshaped China—and how subsequent dynasties built on that foundation.
Immersion in an Ancient Superstate
Carefully curated sections trace statecraft, standardization, belief systems, and artistic breakthroughs that forged a cultural superstate. The exhibition runs through May 25.
