Yann Tiersen returns to Budapest (Budapest) with a solo show built around piano and electronics. On February 28, he will take the stage to unveil his new two-part album, Rathlin from a Distance | The Liquid Hour, promising an intimate journey through layered textures and minimalist melodies.
Two Parts, One Immersive Night
The performance centers on the twin release, bridging atmospheric soundscapes and rhythmic experimentation. Expect Tiersen to move between meditative piano passages and pulsing electronic structures, shaping a live narrative that mirrors the albums’ contrasting moods.
A Career Rooted in Places and Sounds
The French composer and multi-instrumentalist has released more than twenty albums, consistently incorporating field recordings, uncommon instruments, and site-specific compositions. His work reflects a deep connection to nature, turning landscapes into musical architecture and venues into living instruments.
