It all starts on Thursday, March 26, in ZIP code 2143, with events tied to spots like Deáktanya, Csigaház (Snail House), Deák F. út 1, the city library, cemetery, and beyond. Deáktanya’s weekly educational talks are open to everyone, totally free, with opportunities to join the Kistarcsai Cultural Association.
March Kickoff
March 26 features Nagy Zsolt on the Bible Alliance (Biblia Szövetség). On the 28th, join a hiking tour (gyalogtúra) on the Kistarcsa side of Nagytarcsa, plus the 32nd Bunny Cup (Nyuszi Kupa) swimming competition (úszóverseny).
April Packed with Crafts and Talks
April 2 features Mercel Attila on working in the film industry (tevékenység a filmszakmában), alongside spring craft workshops (tavaszi kézműves foglalkozás) for disadvantaged Kistarcsa kids and youth at Deák F. út 1—free, but registration required. Those craft workshops continue April 7-10. Computer courses for over-65s are held at Csigaház on the 8th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, and 24th. April 9 features Csapó Beatrix on the social garden in Gödöllő (szociális kert Gödöllőn). Local history walk (helytörténeti séta), including the cemetery, on the 11th; Baba-Mama Book Club (Baba-Mama Könyvklub) at the city library on the 13th. Tillmann Kinga shares tales of backpacking in South America (hátizsákkal Dél-Amerikában) on the 16th. April 17 features another seniors’ computer class and retro quiz night (kvízest) at Csigaház. Exhibition of Kistarcsa painters (Kistarcsai festők kiállítása) runs April 18-19. Telekiné Kovács Ágnes covers King Matthias corvinas (Mátyás király corvinái) on the 23rd, followed by a wine tour (bortúra) on the 25th. It wraps up with Kardos Ferenc on stories about child protection (történetek a gyerekek védelméről) on April 30. All those Deáktanya lectures are free and open to all.
