Expect a full year of exciting variety to liven up local culture, energize community spirit, and support local initiative groups from Kistarcsa and surrounding areas. They’ll provide thrills and gatherings for kids, adults, and everyone in between.
Faith, Hikes, and Film Tales
March 26 brings Nagy Zsolt from the Bible Alliance (Biblia Szövetség), diving into why believers need a connection with God after devastating personal setbacks. Their activities include Bible school, conferences, lectures, summer camps like bike and canoe trips, plus journals and book publishing. March 28: Hiking tour (Gyalogtúra) on the Kistarcsa side of Nagytarcsa. April 2: Attila Mercel shares stories from the film world hustle, rubbing shoulders with big-name Hungarian actors and tackling outdated production techniques that no one needs anymore.
Gardens, Walks, and Wanderlust
April 9: Beatrix Csapó on Gödöllő’s social garden, training disadvantaged individuals as professionals in therapeutic gardening to foster harmony with nature and uplift the underprivileged. April 11: Local history walk (Helytörténeti séta) through Kistarcsa cemetery. April 16: Kinga Tillmann recounts six and a half months backpacking through South America—guts, freedom, pitfalls, cheap living tips, and epic nature and culture experiences.

April 18-19: Kistarcsa Painters Exhibition (Kistarcsai festők kiállítása) at Snail House (Csigaház). April 23: Ágnes Kovács Telekiné on King Matthias’s (King Mátyás) Corvinas—his Renaissance library, Europe’s second largest after the Vatican, with ~2,500 volumes originally; 216 survive today, 53 in Hungary. April 25: Wine tour (Bortúra). April 30: Ferenc Kardos shares gritty child protection stories—kids caught escaping, playground drama, pocket drugs, wandering the streets without adults, bedtime battles.
